Dr. Tarek MIbrahim Makhlof is a Specialist Ophthalmologist with 25 years experience. Dr. Tarek graduated with his Medical Degree MB.B Ch from Benghazi University, Faculty of Medicine, Benghazi, Libya in 1990. He then completed a Diploma in Ophthalmology from The Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, the Republic of Ireland in 1995 and then went on to obtain his Ophthalmology Degree at the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, Glasgow, the UK in 2004. Since 1991 Dr. Tarek has worked in various hospitals in Scotland, Ireland, Libya and Dubai, with a long history in performing various Ophthalmic Surgeries including: • Phacoemulsification • Cornea and Laser Refractive Surgery • Extracapsular Cataract Extraction • Glaucoma Drainage Surgery • Squint Correction Surgery • Retinal Laser • Intrvitreal Therapy For Diabetic Eye Disease • Lasik And Refractive Surgery • Management of Keratitis and ocular surface diseases • Management of Glaucoma • Management of Diabetes-induced complications • Laser treatment for retinal diseases • Laser treatment for the anterior segment (laser for glaucoma and capsulotomy) • Inpatient and outpatient treatment and care, especially retinal diseases and glaucoma • Outpatient care for ophthalmology healthcare (Infections, glaucoma, emergencies) • Care for pediatric eye conditions He has a sound knowledge of latest treatments, medicines and medical developments and a solid understanding of non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and non-prescription pharmacy products and Educating patients for the prevention of serious diseases and assisting them in the management of acute and chronic medical conditions.
