Dr. Muhammad Irfan Khan is a highly experienced general ophthalmologist with a special interest in paediatric ocular surgery. He has performed hundreds of surgical procedures for Cataract, Strabismus, Glaucoma and Oculoplastics. He has also completed a range of fellowships in the management of Paediatric Cataracts & Glaucoma, Ptosis, screening and treatment of Retinopathy of Prematurity, the management and treatment of Retinoblastoma, in conjunction with an oncologist, and adult Strabismus. Dr. Khan completed his medical training at the Allama Iqbal Medical College, Pakistan, before undertaking post graduate training in Ophthalmology at Waterford University Hospital, Ireland and at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, UK. He completed a Fellowship Exam from the Royal College of Ophthalmology in London and then specialised in Paediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. He is the recipient of the JD Moran award for his contributions in Paediatric Ophthalmology. In addition to his clinical work, he has also undertaken published research, as well as presenting and teaching on his areas of special interest. Dr. Khan is licensed by the General Medical Council in the UK and holds CCST in Ophthalmology.
