Dr. Michael Sostmann (D.M.D) is a Specialist in Orthodontics, he graduated as a Dentist from the Medical University of Hanover, Germany in 1986 with Magna Cum Laude Laude. In addition, he has a postgraduate inorthodontics from the Medical University of Hannover, Germany and is a University Certified Specialist, Fachzahnarzt fuer Kieferorthopaedie . He earned a Degree in Dentistry (D.M.D) in 1990, in a study on "Rheumatoid Arthritis of the Temporomandibular Joint". After a five year postgraduate training with Externships at Tuft's University, Boston, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and University of Connecticut, Farmington, he started his private practice 1993 in Hannover. Dr. Sostmann is focussed on Orthodontic treatment for children and adults, and has a special interest in Integrative Medical Treatment. He graduated in Applied Kinesiology and Manual Therapy to treat a wider range of temporomandibular joint disorders. He also holds a Master of Science Degree from the prestigious Lingualorthodontics program in Hannover, Germany and was trained in this field by the world renown experts, Prof Dr. R. Schwestka-Polly and Prof. Dr.D.Wiechmann, the inventor of the first and only true customized lingual orthodontic appliance and treatment philosophy. He is the only specialist, together with Dr. Geert de Zutter at the German Dental and Neuromuscular Clinic, who hold this Degree in Dubai and the Middle East Since 2000, Dr. Sostmann holds a Diplomate of the German Board of orthodontics since 2007 a member of the executive panel of the German Board of Orthodontics. Since 2009, Dr. Sostmann has served for the German Society of orthodontics as a member of the advisory board. He earned the highest listing in orthodontics for the "Focus-Aerzteliste Germany", twice in 2012 and 2013. Since 2006, Dr. Sostmann has been a faculty member and part time teacher of the Medical University in Hanover, Germany. Dr. Sostmann is a member of several Orthodontic, Dental Sleep Medicine, Radiology Societies in Europe and the United States.
