Menie Pagomenakis obtained her Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders from Brooklyn College New York, with a specialization in school based speech and language disabilities (K-12), as well as a degree extension in bilingual education and development from Columbia University. Over the course of... Show More her career, Menie has worked as a Speech and Language Pathologist for the New York Department of Education and Department of Health. Menie moved to Dubai 5 years ago, where she worked for several well-known private clinics in Dubai and is currently the Medical Director of TalkTime Kids located in Dubai. Menie is very passionate about the field of speech and language pathology and finds immense pleasure is being able to assist children in becoming effective communicators in their homes, schools and the wider community. Menie provides individual as well as group therapy sessions, and has extensive training in a variety of communication disorders: Language Delays, Learning Disabilities, Stuttering Disorders, Articulation & Phonological Disorders, Autism Disorders, Cognitive impairments. Menie is very passionate and enjoys working with children who have social pragmatic challenges. Her child centered therapy approach incorporates many principles of floor time and play based techniques, picture exchange symbols, video modeling and social scripts with an emphasis on functional communication. Lastly, Menie is a CogMed provider and has assisted several students with working memory difficulties and attention problems complete the online training program.
