Marianne Knight United Arab Emirates

Marianne is a Norwegian physiotherapist, who qualified in Oslo in 2006. She has broad experience from different clinical settings such as hospitals, rehabilitation clinics as well as private practices in Norway, Monaco and Dubai. Her main focus is on orthopaedic conditions and sports injuries. She has treated a variety of acute and chronic conditions such as back, neck and shoulder pain, as well as different types of sports injuries. She also is experienced in post-surgical rehabilitation for shoulders, knees and joint replacements. Because of her training in Mensendiek physiotherapy her approach to sports injuries includes the analysis of biomechanics to find the root cause of the injury and to speed up the return to sports. She has extensive knowledge on physical activity and exercise physiology after previously working as a personal trainer and incorporates this into her treatments. Marianne combines hands on treatment with active exercises and when needed she also uses other tools such as Kinesio taping, dry needling or shockwave therapy. Marianne has always had a love for the great outdoors and tries to make the most out of her surroundings. Here in Dubai she enjoys spending time with her family in the desert or in the mountains, hiking and camping over the weekends. She has previously completed a triathlon and especially loves cycling.
