Maria Harrop-Peel graduated in 2006 from the University of Lancaster in the UK. She is registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapist (CSP). During her time in the UK, she has had a range of clinical experience working as a Senior Physiotherapist in a large teaching hospital and in private practice. These have included Women's Health pre and post-operative surgical care, pre and postnatal back, neck, pelvic and joint pain and orthopedic conditions. She also holds an Advanced Diploma in Women's Health from the Herman & Wallace Institute (USA) and has attended several postgraduate workshops run by the Association of Chartered Physiotherapist's in Women’s Health in the UK. In 2009 she gained accreditation from the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists and is also qualified and practices Dry Needling Techniques for multiple conditions. She has completed the Postgraduate Orthopedic Manipulative and Manual Therapy (OMT) course to support her musculoskeletal practice which covers current evidence-based treatment modalities. In addition, she also treated male pelvic floor issues and is qualified in Pilates. Maria moved to Dubai in early 2012 with her family. Before joining HealthBay she worked for Mediclinic City Hospital as the senior Women's Health specialist and outpatient Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and The Clinic at DIFC.
