I trained at Sheffield Hallam University in the UK. I graduated as a physiotherapist in 2002 and started work as a rotational physiotherapist at a general district hospital in Nottinghamshire. Show More rked in an acute hospital covering the wards and treating acutely ill children, children post surgery and pre term infants on the NICU. The service also covered community care so I spent time working with children in an outpatient center treating children with a wide variety of conditions including Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Cystic Fibrosis and a wide variety or other syndromes and conditions. I also led a multidisciplinary Down Syndrome clinic to provide holistic care and support for children and families. I also supported the families during the transition into education and inclusion in the mainstream school environment. In the outpatients clinic I provided treatment and rehabilitation post discharge from the wards and from NICU with the focus on early intervention for ex preterm babies. I moved to Dubai in May 2010 and set up the paediatric physiotherapy service at a one of the large private hospitals in Dubai. Again in this environment I was working on the ward, NICU and in outpatients. In January 2013 I joined the team at KidsFIRST Medical Center. This is a multidisciplinary medical center focused on the care of the child making it the perfect environment for the treatment of children giving them the optimal care and support that the child and family need. I am committed to evidence based practice and was fortunate enough whilst living in the UK to attend the Bobath Center in London for further training on a number of occasions. I therefore follow the Bobath/ Neurodevelopmental Therapy principals and continue to believe and observe the results that are achieved. I have a wide variety of post graduate training and this also includes training in Clinical Pilates and kinesiotaping. I am registered with both the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and the Health Professionals Council in the UK.

Kate is a very dedicated person, when she is working with our child you can feel that she is seeking for the result. When we came to her first time our baby was 7 months old and he was not rolling and not even sitting.

Physio helped us a lot and I'm really happy that our kid was in Kate's professional hands.

I'm definitely recommending this specialist to other parents.
