Dr. Joy Matheson (nee Afif), qualified from Leeds Dental Institute in 1999 with First Class Honours. Since graduating, she has worked in general practice and moved into private practice in 2001. She has focused her attention on cosmetic and restorative dentistry, for which she travels to USA at least twice a year to learn from some of the best dentists in the world, including Dr. Larry Rosenthal in New York and Dr. John Kois in Seattle. Dr. Joy has also assisted as an instructor on several hands-on-training programs for other dentists and was recently invited to lecture in the UAE on a smile design concepts and the Smile Makeover procedure, for which she is considered to be one of the best in the UAE. Dr. Joy practices all aspects of general dentistry with a special focus on cosmetic and complex restorative cases, bite problems and treatment of severely worn teeth. Dr. Joy has passed the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry’s written examination and is on her way to becoming one of the first dentists in Dubai to become accredited with the AACD. Dr. Joy is married and enjoys good food, good conversation, music, reading and playing with her 2 dogs.

Landed at the British Dental Clinic after some bad experiences at other places, I think at that time Dr Joy just started here in Dubai.
