Dr Heather Totten United Arab Emirates

Dr Heather Totten graduated from Bristol University, UK, in 1982. She worked in the UK in general practice and held a teaching role at Queen’s University, Belfast, before relocating to the UAE in 1987 where she took up a post at Tawam Hospital in Al Ain. In 1989 she moved into private practice in Dubai, spending 10 years with Peter Smith’s practice in Jumeirah. She spent 8 years at the British Dental Clinic and moved to Medicentres in Motorcity in 2008. Dr Heather has a special interest in modern cosmetic dentistry including ceramic crowns and veneers. She has recently completed the advanced Inman Aligner course and is one of a small number of dentists in the area offering this new orthodontic solution. She firmly believes in conservative ethical dentistry and enjoys treating children ‘of all ages’. Her hobbies include playing and watching golf, tennis and entertaining. She loves music and has a secret desire to be a DJ in her next life.
