Prof Dr Hani A. Salam United Arab Emirates

Dr. Hani holds a PhD in Dental Sciences from McGill University, Canada, and a 4-year post-graduate specialty degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery & Anesthesia from the University of Toronto, Canada. He also holds a degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Lebanese University and a Master’s Degree in Physiology from the Faculty of Medicine at the American University of Beirut. Dr. Salam is a Consultant and Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and past Director of the Post-graduate Oral Surgery &Implantology Program at Maktoum Bin Hamdan Dental University College in Dubai, UAE. For seven years, Dr. Salam was an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Dentistry at McGill University and is past Director of McGill University Continuing Dental Education for the Middle East & North Africa. His scope of practice includes surgical dental extractions including wisdom teeth, placement of dental implants, bone grafting, orthognathic surgery and reconstructive cosmetic maxillofacial surgery, maxillofacial fractures, cysts, tumors and infections as well as non-surgical and surgical management of the jaw-joint, also called temporomandibular joint (TMJ), disorders including minimally invasive surgery such as arthroscopy of the TMJ and its reconstruction. Among Dr. Hani’s passions, we can count traveling, photography, reading, tennis, swimming and scuba diving.
