In 1988 he graduated magna cum laude from the University Federico II of Naples in Italy, with a thesis on Etiopatogenesis of Myopia, which won the Naples Rotary Club prize for the Best Monography of the Year. Show More hthalmological division of Villa Benedetta Clinic in Civitavecchia - Rome (Italy) and since 1991 he manages the ophthalmological division of the Gepos Clinic in Benevento. He also works as a consultant for complicated cases at S. Lucia Clinic of Cosenza (Italy). He performs surgeries with some of the most well-known surgeons in Italy: Prof. Focosi at Gemelli Hospital in Rome and Dr. V. Sarnicola from the Civil Hospital in Grosseto. He is the reference surgeon for anterior segment in South Italy for Alcon (USA) and a member of many medical associations. Among the most important: The Italian Society for Stem Cells and Ocular Surface, The European Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery, The American Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery, The Italian Group of Vitreoretinic Surgery. He regularly participates at congresses and conferences in Italy and abroad, where he has presented more than 100 scientific papers.
