Dipa Bhatnagar, O.D. Graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry, having previously gained a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry (with High Honours), University of Illinois. Dipa has been trained in the United States, and has over 15 years of clinical experience. She has completed internships in specialty contact lens fitting, pediatrics and binocular vision disorders,low vision rehabilitation, and medical optometry. Her area of focus is specialty contact lens fitting. Depending on the needs of her patients, she utilizes a wide variety of lenses including soft, rigid gas permeable, hybrid and scleral. She has substantial experience in contact lens fits for patients with keratoconus, irregular cornea, post corneal transplant, corneal scarring, disfigured eyes, aphakia, high hypermetropia/myopia/astigmatism, and presbyopia. Her other interest includes pediatric optometry in which she prescribes myopia control contact lenses for children. She is also extensively involved in pre-operative assessments for refractive surgery patients.She continues to research, and lecture on, her areas of interest. In the past, she has provided school eye exams for a local district and volunteered eye care services for Prevent Blindness, the Lions Club, and the Special Olympics.
