After qualifying from Leeds University in the UK, Doctor Caroline Dunn spent time in both NHS and private practice, fuelling her interest in all areas of dentistry. Continuing her on going dental education, she worked as a senior house officer in maxillofacial surgery in hospital, where she had the ... Show More opportunity to refine her oral surgery skills and general medical knowledge. Before moving to Dubai with her husband, she worked for several years as a general dental practitioner in a private family practice in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. There she developed her interest in cosmetic and restorative procedures, and had the opportunity to work with all ages of patient. She believes dentistry is always improving, both in available materials and in our understanding. She keeps up to date as a member of the British Dental Association and frequent CPD courses, achieving the initial qualification towards an MFDS (member of the faculty of dental surgeons). Dr Caroline, enjoys all types of sport, from skiing to pilates. She loves to paint and applies this creativity and attention to detail to dentistry. She and her husband are well travelled, having family across the world. During her travels she has had the opportunity to carry out dental research aiding child patients in South Africa. This work has been published. She understands that every patient has different needs and wishes, and it is her role to help achieve the very best in treatment and build confidence. It can be a daunting experience attending a new dentist, but a sensitive and nurturing reception awaits you.
