Show More ndly environment. Dr. Wayne initially started at the University Hospitals in Pretoria and Durban and later trained as a Craniofacial fellow under Dr. I.T. Jackson at the Institute of Craniofacial & Reconstructive Surgery in Southfield, Michigan, USA. He was Professor and Head of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Orange Free State, Bloemfontein, South Africa. Dr. Wayne has based his plastic surgery practice in the Middle East since 2001 where he has made a name for himself among his surgical colleagues and his patients. He started in this region as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Sheikh Khalifa Medical Group in Abu Dhabi. Later on, he worked in the same capacity at Starcare in Muscat, Oman and at the European Canadian Medical Center in Abu Dhabi. Dr. Wayne and his wife Lorraine are active in philanthropy working with worldwide children’s charity organizations that help treat facial deformities such as cleft lips and cleft palates. Dr. Wayne recently founded the Center for Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery at BR Medical Suites. His passion is to make a difference in the lives of his patients.

Dr Smith recently removed a large basal cell carcinoma tumor from my upper lip - in the process he had to remove about 30% of my upper lip. Throughout the whole episode, I have found him to be a very compassionate person who really cares for his patients.

The reconstructive surgery was done very well and I can function normally without any disfiguration, even 3 weeks after surgery. I would definitely recommend him as certainly one of the best surgeons in the world.
